Star Background

About Us

My photo
I have recently decided that we are superstars. I work full time as an ABA Consultant and am a full time student working toward my psych degree. I have the most amazing man in my life - Rob is every dream come true that I have had. He works hard, plays hard, and we are making our dreams come true one day at a time. We are the proud parents of 6 cats and 2 dogs. Ya. It is a circus but I love every minute of it!

Christmas Craftiness

I thought I would do one more post about my little crafts that I did for Christmas. Nothing very special, but it is fun to share.

First I used fabric paint to put names of the animals on their stockings! We got navy blue velvet stockings from Target and I grabbed some silver glitter fabric paint from Michaels. Here is the finished product.
Yup. That is five kitties and one pup.
Later that day I finished the scarves that I made for my 2 nephews and niece so I decided that I needed some present tags to go with them! It was fun to make them and I even used my embossing tools- I haven't used them for a long time!! It reminded that I need to take time to be crafty, not just wait for the holidays.... Here they are.

I also taught myself a new crochet stitch with the aide of youtube and made my buddy Clayton a blanket. It took me a very long time to complete as I am not the worlds best crocheter but it looked great when it was done!
Up close. The stitch is called a slanted shell stitch.

Here it is!!
Lastly- I made a blanket for my little niece Alyssa. It is just a simple double stitch. Nothing fancy, but it is cute none the less.
Folded in quarters.
I think that completes all my Christmas craftiness... Like I said- I am not a professional at this stuff at all, but I try and I have fun and I am very excited when they come together and look nice!!

Family Pictures!!

HERE THEY ARE!!! Just what you have all been waiting for! Our Family Pictures!!!

We went to the New Orleans Museum of Art or NOMA to start our pictures.... We wanted to do some funny- 50's era pictures and then just have fun and hope something worked out. The wind was very pushy that day.... so here they are.
